The use of color with the body has therapeutic healing effects. When dealing with ailments it can be beneficial to meditate on certain colors, to use colored lams on certain areas of the body and to dress using the healing color in the appropriate area
Red raises blood pressure and releases adrenaline. Red is beneficial for many blood disorders, anemia, glandular fever and also for numbness.
Yellow is beneficial for some nervous disoders, liver ailments, jaundice, schizophrenia and diabetes.
Green is good for heart conditions, such as angina, and chest conditions. such as bronchitis. It is also considered to be helpful to sufferers of claustrophobia.
Orange encourages joy and a positive disposition; it also boosts the metabolic system and aids digestion. Orange can help with stomach ulcers, under-active thyroid glands, stiffness of joints, liver ailments, constipation, alchoholism and kidney disease.
Turquoise relieves pain and is also an anti-inflammatory. It can be good for skin problems, such as acne and dermatitis, and for insect stings and hay fever. Turquoise and blue aid pneumonia sinusitis and stress. If you have a sore throat wear a turquoise scarf.
Blue is thought to reduce blood pressure and relieve throat problems, laryngitis and tonsillitis. It is therapeutic for itching, insomnia, travel sickness, thrush, tootache, sunburn, sneezing, stammering and scarring.
Violet is a whole body purifier and helps promote healthy sleep patterns.
Magenta is uesd to relieve migraines and headaches and can also help relieve nausea.
